Today I am going to write about my journey. This year I went to Ghorepani Poonhill Trek to spend my winter vacation with my dad, uncle, and their group. I enjoyed it a lot as well as gained some knowledge too. I haven’t walked so much like that in my life ever. That was my first time but I didn't feel so many difficulties. This journey provides me the opportunity to know about different castes, customs, traditions, languages, art, and cultures. This helps me to increase my knowledge. This journey helped me to release my journey and makes me able to do my work harder. On the way, I saw different kinds of trees, mountains, rivers, waterfalls, etc. The way there was narrow. We walked up, down, stairs and road. When I walk the first day I thought that I could not walk more but when I started walking more than I thought. I could walk all the way from the next day. When I completed my journey I hope to go to another beautiful place in Nepal next year. The group which was with us to visit that place was also very nice. They were friendly and cheerful with me. This journey inspired me to walk and also teach me that we should be suitable for every type of topography, climate, and condition. Now I am going to write about my trekking experience.

Day First: Journey to Pokhara

Pokhara is situated in the western part of Nepal. It is 200 km far from the capital city Kathmandu. In the early morning, I and my dad went to a tourist bus park with the group, and then we went to Pokhara. We traveled the whole day on the bus to reach Pokhara. After reaching Pokhara, we went to the hotel viewpoint in lakeside, Pokhara, and rested for some time. Then we went for walk near Fewa Tal. The view from there was very nice. I hadn't seen such mountains and lakes at night. Pokhara is the main tourist destination of Nepal. It is surrounded by green hills and Snowfall Mountains on the north side. We can see the clear scenery of the white and shining diamond-like mountains. Here we can see a clear view of the Machhapuchhre and Annapurna mountains. From here we can reach different beautiful trekking destinations like Annapurna Base camp, Dhaulagiri Round Trekking, Upper Mustang, Annapurna Circuit, etc. Pokhara is really a peaceful and beautiful valley. Many people come here just for sightseeing and to do extreme adventure activities such as Paragliding, Zip Flyer, Boating, Ultralight Flight, and Mountain Biking. We had our dinner there and went back to our hotel. I was very excited about the journey which was going to be started the next day.

Day second: Pokhara to Nayapul (45 km away through taxi or tourist bus) to Tikhedhunga.

In the morning we had our breakfast in the hotel and sit on the tourist bus to start our journey to Nayapul. Nayapul is situated 45 km away from Pokhara. From there we had to walk. After reaching there we rest for some time and started to walk. I started walking with great excitement because that was my first time. The way was narrow. There was a small river named Modi Khola. When we crossed that river we reach Birethanti (1025m). It is a small village that has shops and guest houses. Here the way follows stairs. We followed the river and walk in that direction. From there we climb steadily up the side of the valley to Hill at 1496m and after the short climb from there, we reach Tikhedhunga at 1520m. That day we didn’t have to walk much. The way was also good. At last, we reach Tikhedhunga and rest there at Laxmi Guesthouse. The people at that guest house were so nice. They speak so politely to me so that I will never forget them.

Day Third: Trek to Ghorepani

That morning we had our breakfast and started walking from there. We climbed up through Ulleri), it is a large Magar village at 2020m. We walked through the lovely fine forests of oak and rhododendron towards Banthanti at 2250m. Then we walk towards Nangethanti at 2460m for lunch. The weather was good that day. There were many beautiful things to see on the way. I was enjoying myself and feeling very tired. After an hour's walk, we reach Ghorepani at 2755m. We stayed there at The Sunny Hotel. From there we get a good view of different mountains.

Here we can see The Gurung people; they are one of the ethnic groups of Nepal who have their own typical culture, costume, lifestyle, and importance. This village is one of the famous tourist destinations because this village is based on one of the famous cultures and the importance of Nepal. Many tourists came here to visit the different types of cultures, lifestyles, costumes, and cultural things. That day was the last day for our trekking so I was looking all around. We stayed there at a Peaceful hotel and lodge.  After some time we went to visit Ghandruk village. It is very nice.
